I own a camera.

Flowers

Since I got my camera last Spring, I have started to take pictures of lots of flowers. They are colorful and the photos are just fun. So here are some flowers I adore.

Pink Flower

Flower at Lowes. Garden centers are fun with a camera in tow.

Sunflowers

Snail

I think I will plant a flower snail in my parent’s front yard.

Vegas Baby.

Oh Las Vegas. It was definitely an interesting past few days. Going on a trip with 9 girls was not something I had experienced before. I did not take very many pictures b/c almost everything of interest was being photographed by at least 4 other people, these photos will surface soon and I will just snag them then.

So here is the rundown of events completed:

1. Dinner Friday at a burger joint in NY, NY.

2. Night out at Rain in the Palms (the place the Real World people worked at that season).

3. Sweated profusely at the pool at MGM, didn’t float lazy river b/c floats were $16??!!

4. Ate bad Mexican food.

5. Wandered around. WALKED. Feet ached. Bellagio Fountains.

6. Ate at Serendipity 3. Adorable and tasty. Frozen hot chocolate consumed.

7. Saw “O” – loved it. Can’t really described what happened but I may need to work on my flexibility.

8. Played roulette. Leah and I won money. $40 turned into $95.

9. Walked, ate, shopped. More games.

10. Ate bad Italian food.

11. Saw Thunder from Down Under. Laughed hysterically for an hour and a half.

12. Gambled more. Began losing.

13. Stayed out till 6am.

14. Almost missed plane.

15. Slept from 7ish last night to 11am this morning.

Bellagio

Gal Pals.

Bonnie, my NY friend/coworker left this morning. In the past week Michelle, Bonnie and I have spent almost every day together. I admire both these gals immensely and are one the most positive things I will be taking away from my job. Michelle listened to all of my crazy tirades, she made me laugh, she ordered me lunch and gave me life advice. My cubicle experience would have been entirely different if Michelle had not been there. Michelle brought me a fabulous butterfly balloons and a chocolate cake today, for this, I’ll keep her around.

I am a lucky girl. Work is officially done. I get to go to Vegas tomorrow. Not bad at all.

Version 2006

JMO used to have an insane amount of hair. It was probably longer than my own. Before the hair, he shaved his head, his clippers broke and then he took a break from hair cuts. During this hair cut hiatus, JMO got himself a girl (which would be me). We had been friends for a long time, but he talked me into more by letting me braid his hair. Over Christmas break, he cut it, and was hardly recognizable. Now I look back at JMO long locks and smile and recall that his hair had a personality all its own.

Disclaimer: I like JMO’s short hair. This is not a request for a hair extensions.

Happy Day After Father's Day

This is one of my favorite pictures of my dad. He is milking a fake cow at a museum and he looks like it is the funnest thing he has ever done. Like my brother, he doesn’t smile in pictures, so when you get either one of them generally happy, you get something like this. The smile never happens in a family picture – just of them doing something slightly absurd.

My dad spend a good chunk of his weekend talking about all of the history of the US with me. He went more in depth than the text I was looking over and had some interesting historical insight. Then he reminded me I need to buy a car.

I’m lucky to have him. Happy day after your day Dad!

Tybee Island

We got to Tybee Island lighthouse at the same time and a church group. An elderly church group. So we walked up the stairs, shared landings, and walked down the stairs behind ladies discussing what it was physically like for them to climb 200 steps. It was also insanely windy.
